Tree Service Guide

Land Clearing

Land clearing removes selected trees, brush, stumps, and debris to prepare a site for construction, access, restoration, or another planned use.

What is land clearing?

The scope can range from selective vegetation removal to clearing a larger work area. Property boundaries, protected vegetation, drainage, erosion control, utilities, disposal, and future grading all affect the plan.

Confirm applicable permits and site restrictions before work starts. Tree removal, stump work, excavation, grading, and hauling may be performed by different contractors or priced separately.

Common reasons for the service

  • Prepare an approved building area, driveway, fence line, or utility corridor.
  • Remove dense brush or unwanted vegetation as part of a broader site plan.
  • Open an area for restoration, maintenance access, or a new landscape design.

What to expect

  • A marked work boundary and written description of vegetation to keep and remove.
  • A plan for access, utilities, debris, stumps, soil disturbance, and erosion control.
  • Clear responsibility for permits, hauling, finish grading, and site restoration.
